Suhum MCE and MP to Build Ultra-Modern Astroturf with Public Funds where Ghana Black Stars can even play.
The Suhum Anglican Park Astroturf project is set to receive renewed attention as the Suhum Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Lydia Ohenewa, and the Suhum Member of Parliament, Hon. Frank Asiedu Bekoe (Protozoa), come together to advance the project.

The project first had its sod-cutting ceremony in 2024, led by the Suhum MP, Hon. Frank Asiedu Bekoe (Protozoa). The project was expected to be financed by Ghana Gas. However, the contract was not signed before the change of government, resulting in the project not proceeding as initially planned.
On 17 August 2026, the Suhum Anglican Park Astroturf project is set to witness its second sod-cutting ceremony, this time involving both the Suhum MCE, Hon. Lydia Ohenewa, and the Suhum MP, Hon. Frank Asiedu Bekoe (Protozoa).
The renewed project is expected to provide the people of Suhum with an ultra-modern sporting facility, creating opportunities for football development, youth engagement and community activities.
The project represents a renewed commitment to improving sports infrastructure in Suhum and providing young people with a modern facility to develop their talents.
