The people of Suhum are speaking out. What was promised as a modern sports facility for our community has now sat abandoned for over two years.

The Suhum Anglican Park Astroturf project was a key pledge made during the election campaign. It was meant to give our youth, schools, and football clubs a standard pitch to train, compete, and grow their talents. Instead, the site has been left to damage.
Today the facility is in a worrying state. Erosion has carved big holes under the classroom blocks, threatening the buildings and putting nearby residents at risk. What should have been progress has become a danger.
This delay affects more than just football. Suhum’s young athletes are losing opportunities. Students lack a safe space for sports. The community is watching a project that was meant to inspire hope slowly turn into an eyesore.
The concerned citizens of Suhum, are calling on Hon. Frank Asiedu Bekoe, MP for Suhum, Hon. Lydia Ohenewa, MCE for Suhum, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and all stakeholders involved to act now. Prioritize the completion of the Anglican Park Astroturf.
A promise made must be a promise kept. Suhum’s youth deserve better. Suhum is ready.
