Addressing the dignitaries, officers, and families gathered for the parade, President Mahama stated,

“Dear military personnel and civilian staff, I am determined to systematically improve your conditions of service. GEHOC will be one of our key plants in providing sustainable financing for the Ghana Armed Forces. Your sacrifices deserve recognition.”

He emphasized that those who had completed their service to the nation would also be duly honored, pledging that his administration would ensure prompt payment of retirement benefits:

The nation looks up to you with expectations, hope and confidence. You are part of the future of the Ghana Armed Forces. Your actions will shape the destiny of our nation.”
He continued with a powerful call to values-driven leadership:

“Remember that leadership is not about rank or privilege. Leadership is about responsibility and service. I urge you to live with integrity, courage and compassion. I encourage you to be officers who inspire loyalty. I expect you to be leaders who earn respect and uphold the highest standard of professionalism.
The commissioning parade was attended by top military commanders, government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and proud family members of the newly commissioned officers.

President Mahama concluded by underscoring the importance of the Ghana Armed Forces in safeguarding the nation’s democratic values and stability, encouraging all service members to maintain the highest standards in both conduct and service to the nation.
