“Let’s think about the wellbeing of Suhum first and take note that when development comes, it comes for us all,” Hon. Lydia Ohenewa has said.
She assured the contractor working on the Suhum Anglican Park Astroturf that, as President John Dramani Mahama provides the Assembly with its quarterly Common Fund for development projects, she would ensure that whenever funds are requested for the project, the opportunity would not be neglected.

She also called on the chiefs to continue praying for President John Dramani Mahama and for her as they work to bring development to Suhum.
According to her, development is progressing well across Suhum, and residents can testify to the numerous projects currently underway. She cited the beautiful new station project as one of the major ongoing developments in the municipality.
She further announced that a sod-cutting ceremony is expected to take place at Suhum Council later this month, August. Another sod-cutting ceremony is also expected at Suhum Ghanata for the reconstruction of the Junior High School (JHS) block.
She mentioned several other projects, including the construction of a new primary school at Newtown North (Ali), which will serve pupils from Class One to Class Six.
Hon. Lydia Ohenewa urged the contractor of the Suhum Anglican Park Astroturf to do the needful and ensure that the project progresses as planned. She also pleaded that the people of Suhum should not have to witness a third sod-cutting ceremony for the same project.
She emphasised that the wellbeing and development of Suhum remain close to her heart, adding that President John Dramani Mahama has tasked them to pursue every initiative that brings development to the people.
She said the government’s “Resetting Agenda” must continue, with the collective focus remaining on development that benefits everyone in Suhum.
